Officer Roles




Below is a description of the three NHS officer positions:


President
  • Master of ceremonies for the induction of new members in November.
  • Meet with advisor each month to discuss and plan the community service activities we will participate in.  
  • Minimal treasury duties
  • Along with the vice president, present gold cords to graduating seniors at the annual academic awards ceremony in June.

Vice President
  • Assist the president with his or her duties.
  • Along with the President,  present gold cords to graduating seniors at the annual academic awards ceremony in June.

Communications Secretary

  • Decide and establish (text, or email, or Remind etc.) the best method for communication between officers, Advisor, and members.
  • Send out information to members from President and Advisor (check in with Advisor every other week).

Students running for President are to prepare a one minute speech to be given at the beginning of the voting meeting.
